Job Specification:
Leading a specialist team responsible for the service delivery of business critical systems, you will ensure the provision of IT support to operational policing at the Metropolitan Police Service. Owning and overseeing the IT business continuity arrangements, you will manage the planning, implementation and integration of new and enhanced services. Liasing with third party support agencies to ensure the quality and value of service delivery, yo will also carry out performance reviews and contribute to policy formation. Ideally educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, you will have experience of managing ITIL service delivery including the support of networks, data encryption and proprietary applications. With a comprehensive knowledge of IT security, you will have excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills. Experience of contract and budget management will be key, as will the ability to make fast and accurate decisions under pressure. You will also be aware of all relevant IT governance and health and safety legislation.
