Because of the expertise developed since the early 1990's helping older people over forty, Third Age Foundation has become involved with several programmes. We were asked to become part of the UKCAP Commission on Poverty, Participation and Power representing the voices of older people in poverty. This culminated in a report called "Listen Hear. The Right to be Heard". The report is available from Marston Book Services at £10.99 per copy. The summary can be accessed by clicking below: "LISTEN
HEAR" SUMMARY
Third Age Foundation commissioned SMA Associates to put together a report on "Fighting Ageism" based on 100 clients interviews and 30 employers interviews with several recommendations. This action research report was funded by the European Social Fund and TEC Legacy monies, as well as from TAF resources. The report entitled "Past it at 40? A grassroots view of ageism and discrimination in employment" was launched at the House of Lords on 21st October 2002. It is available from Third Age Foundation at £15.00 plus £2.50 p&p.
